Pop-up, friend-foe, swing and hostage motion modes. Timed, random or auto sequences that never let a shooter settle into a rhythm.
A hit sensor and indicator light drive hit-react mode: the target drops, resets or cycles the moment it takes a round. Instant feedback, no spotting.
29 to 53 lb, internal battery, run standalone off the onboard interface or by R1 remote. Indoor bays, outdoor berms, shoot houses.
Timed or random exposure. Rapid acquisition on a target that is only up for as long as you allow.
Shoot / no-shoot presentation. Positive identification before the trigger break, every repetition.
Lateral movement across the lane. Tracking, lead and follow-through on a target that will not hold still.
Threat and non-threat on the same stand. Precision under the worst consequence a range can simulate.
Each motion mode runs under three intelligent modes from the target's own control interface: auto, random, and hit react. No app, no network, no range control room required.
How agencies run it →Pneumatic and rail-guided target systems mean compressors, trenching, and a facility built around them. Robotarget is a self-contained machine with an internal battery. Set it on the ground, drop a target on the pole, and run a course of fire.
Out of the vehicle to first shot without tools or a range technician.
4.5 to 16 hours on manufacturer-installed batteries at 72°F.
Add one machine at a time. Scale a lane, a bay, or a shoot house as budget allows.
Engineered in Orange County, with key components sourced from US suppliers. Where the parts come from →

Every Robotarget shares the same core: brushless drive, internal battery, hit sensor with indicator light, standalone operation, and R1 remote compatibility. The difference is lifting capacity, runtime, and whether the machine needs to drive anything else on the range.
* Using targets exceeding max lifting capacity will cause malfunction, component damage, reduced machine life span, and increased risk of injury.
** Running time is based on fully charged, manufacturer-installed batteries at 72°F.
*** The accuracy of hit detection may be reduced if not using factory recommended target backing pad and target pole.
**** Power out outlet is 24V, max current 3A.
***** I/O port is for connection of electronic precision target, robot target mover, etc.
Runs any Robotarget from the firing line. Every machine also operates standalone from its own control interface, so a dead remote never ends a training day.

A static silhouette measures marksmanship. It cannot measure whether an officer identified a threat before the trigger broke, or whether a shooter can track a target that moves. Robotarget puts the decision back in the drill.

Set from the target's own control interface. No app, no network, no range control room.
A fixed, repeatable cycle. The interval you set, held exactly, every repetition. This is the mode for qualification courses and measuring a shooter against the same standard twice.
Unpredictable exposure timing. Removes the count a shooter starts keeping after the third repetition and forces genuine reaction instead of anticipation.
The target responds to the round. Hit sensor and indicator confirm the shot and drive the next action. The target goes down because it was hit, not because a timer expired.

Ground mount or field cart. One person, no tools.
Pole, backing pad, paper target. Factory pad and pole keep hit detection accurate.
Motion mode plus intelligent mode, from the onboard interface or the R1.
Reset from the line. No walking downrange between repetitions.
We bring machines to your facility and run your drills, with your shooters, before you buy anything.
Unedited footage of the machines running live fire. Every clip below is a Robotarget on a range, in the mode named.
Three field-cart units lined up with arms raised, a moving target taking hits with the dust kick, and the hostage no-shoot presentation. The clearest look at what a multi-machine range setup does.
Hostage no-shoot presentation in the field, mast and arm assembly close-up, then a two-person live-fire string: one on the handheld controller, one on pistol.
Carbine work at distance, a trail engagement against two pop-ups downrange, and a shooter moving through brush. A training day as it actually runs.
Full-length demonstrations, setup walkthroughs and customer range footage are posted to the Tacland channel.

Train Smart, Shoot Robotarget.
Based in Southern California, Robotarget focuses on enhancing tactical training for civilians and professionals. We value ease of use, reliability, addressing customer needs, firearm fluency, and most importantly, your right to defend yourself.
The idea for Robotarget started when we wanted to improve our own firearm fluency. Being fluent with your firearm isn’t just about hitting the bullseye from a distance; how well you can track a moving target, your reaction speed, your ability to make quick decisions are all part of the equation. We found most shooters only shoot stationary targets, which get old fast and do not properly emulate scenarios in which one actually would use a firearm.
We’ve searched for smarter electronic targets on the market, but found them to be too costly, too simple in features, and too difficult to setup and use.
At Robotarget, we seek to enhance and transform your tactical training experience through innovative technologies, so you can be better prepared when you need your firearm.
Portable robotic smart target systems and accessories for live-fire firearms training. Our products are not firearms and do not discharge projectiles.
Research, design and development are ours, done at our Huntington Beach office in Orange County. Live-fire testing happens at our Santa Clarita range. Parts come from a mix of US and overseas suppliers, and final inspection and assembly happen in our warehouse.

“Service hours” refers to the cumulative time during which the product is actively operating. The method of determining service hours may be based on internal system records, if available, or reasonable estimation where such records are not accessible. Paint finish will scratch and chip under normal use and therefore carries no warranty.
The fastest way to understand the difference is a live-fire demo on your own range, with your own shooters.
